Bottom line: General Hospital finally told viewers who set Sonny up. It was Drew and Ava, working through Vito, and the frame is holding for now. The twist is that Scout, the one person Drew thinks is firmly on his side, saw him with Vito before the episode ended.

Who framed Sonny for the Pentonville attack?

Drew and Ava. At Drew's house, he told her the plan had worked. Ava didn't share the mood, because Curtis, her friend, ended up in a hospital bed.

Drew saw an upside. A respected witness like Curtis makes the case against Sonny far stronger than Sidwell's word alone. Ava was disgusted he could be pleased about it, and she worried out loud about what Trina would think if the truth ever came out.

What happened to Vito?

He's on his way out. Vito showed up, and Drew and Ava told him to leave Port Charles. Vito later assured them their business was done.

Does Sonny know he was set up?

He knows something's wrong, just not who. Sonny walked Jason and Ric through the Pentonville mess and landed on Vito as the weak link. He vowed to find whoever arranged it.

Why did Danny punch Rocco?

Charlotte, and then something worse. Danny still blames Rocco for Charlotte being shipped off to boarding school. Rocco pushed back hard, arguing Danny and Charlotte had been reckless and that Lulu made the right call.

Then he brought up Danny's mother. Danny swung, the argument became a real fight, and Danny left after telling Rocco to stay away from him and his family. Honestly, that line landed harder than the punch.

Is the friendship over?

Danny thinks so. He turned up at Sonny's bruised, and both Sonny and Jason pushed him to patch things up. He wasn't interested.

Why did Scout storm out on Alexis?

Scout wanted to know if Charlotte could be charged over her stunt involving Drew. Alexis said no, since Charlotte is a minor and nothing came of it, and she suggested forgiveness.

Scout heard that as another shot at her father. She accused Alexis of siding against Drew and left. Afterward, Alexis and Molly worried Scout would take it straight to Drew.

What did Scout overhear?

Enough to matter. Scout ducked out of sight and saw her father, Ava and Vito together, with Vito promising their dealings were finished and that he'd leave town. Neither recap says she understood the whole picture yet.
