Is Zende Leaving Forrester for Logan on Bold and the Beautiful? Explained

Zende Forrester Dominguez has spent most of 2026 feeling like the designer nobody at Forrester Creations thinks about. Hope Logan left the company in June without telling him, his promotion never came, and by the fall he was taking direction from his younger cousin R.J. on a youth line that carries Electra's name.
Then Katie Logan made him an offer. By Friday, Oct. 9, he stood in the Forrester office and said the words out loud. Here's what has aired, who knows what, and what the previews say comes next.
Why does Zende want to leave Forrester Creations?
Three reasons, and all three came out of his own mouth on Friday. He feels like an outsider in the family business. He believes he should be higher up the ladder by now. And he says favoritism has run through Forrester for a long time, with R.J. as the latest example.
The R.J. part has been building since the Sept. 24 episode, when R.J. told Zende to put Hope's old line behind him and focus on Electra's youth collection. Our B&B week-by-week hub had that clash as the first sign of trouble.
Underneath it is Hope. Zende designed alongside her on Hope for the Future, and when she took the lead designer job at Logan she kept it from him. He wasn't told before Logan's June 26 runway debut.
What did Katie and Hope actually offer him?
A job at Logan, working with Hope again. Katie got it moving through Dylan, who works at Forrester and dates Katie's son Will. On the Oct. 1 episode Dylan pushed Zende to hear Hope out, and by Oct. 5 Will was telling Wyatt that his mother had used Dylan to deliver Zende, as a loyalty test.
Zende walked into Logan angry, mostly at Hope, and asked how he could ever trust her again. Hope owned up to how she'd handled it and apologized. Katie's pitch was blunter: he's not R.J., so he'll never be the golden boy at Forrester.
Deke Sharpe, Hope's half-brother and Logan's credited designer, said he was swamped and would be glad of the help. Zende called it a huge decision and left without answering. On Oct. 8, by his own account to Dylan, Logan made the offer official. Money and title haven't been spelled out on screen.
Who knows about the Logan offer?
This is the part that changed fastest last week. As of Friday's episode:
| Who | What they know | How |
|---|---|---|
| Katie, Hope, Deke | Made the offer | Oct. 6 and 8 scenes at Logan |
| Will, Wyatt, Dylan | Know about the pitch | Will and Wyatt argued about it Oct. 5; Katie briefed Will and Dylan Oct. 7 |
| Electra | Overheard Zende and Dylan | Oct. 8 design-office scene |
| Eric and Ridge | Know everything | Electra told them Oct. 8; Zende confirmed it Oct. 9 |
| R.J. | Pitched Zende on the Electra line Oct. 7 | Not in Friday's confrontation in either recap we checked |
| Brooke | Not in last week's Logan scenes | The previews have Brooke reacting next week |
One detail that cuts against Electra's outrage: per Soaps.com's Oct. 8 recap, Zende thanked Electra for pushing him to go meet Hope and Katie in the first place. She reported Dylan to Eric and Ridge anyway.

What happened on the Friday, Oct. 9 episode?
Electra finished her report, and Eric and Ridge said Zende wasn't going anywhere. Electra wanted Dylan fired that day. Then Ridge called Zende in, and the two men asked him about the Logan offer straight out.
Zende said he was grateful, that he thinks daily about how lucky he was to be brought into the family, and that he had still earned more respect than he'd been given. He should have his own line by now, he said, and R.J. got one in record time. Ridge and Eric told him that takes years. Zende answered that R.J. didn't need years, then gave notice: he's going to work with Hope at Logan.
Eric wouldn't accept it. Soaps.com has his answer as "you're not going anywhere," and The Soap Scene has him begging Zende to stay. Both recaps end on that plea, with no reply from Zende. In the design office, Electra told Dylan that now Ridge and Eric knew, she'd finally be fired, and Dylan pushed back.

What do the Oct. 12 to 16 previews say?
Zende weighs his future at the start of the week, then gives Ridge an ultimatum. Dylan has to defend what she did to the Forresters. Soap Hub and Daytime Soap Stop both lay the week out day by day and agree on the order: Zende on Monday and Tuesday, Dylan's defense alongside it.
Soaps.com's preview piece reads the CBS sneak peek as Zende using the moment to decide who stays and who goes at Forrester, and has Brooke turning up at Logan to accuse Katie and Hope of revenge. That's one outlet's take on the promo, not an aired scene, so we're leaving the outcome blank until Monday.
👉 The question that matters isn't whether Zende walks. It's what Ridge gives up to keep him. Watch for the ultimatum on Tuesday.
Later in the week the show goes back to the Steffy and Carter secret, tracked on its own page. Our CBS daytime schedule check has the Monday-to-Friday lineup, Columbus Day included.
