General Hospital Recap Thursday, September 10, 2026: Anna Gives Up the Badge

Thursday, September 10, 2026 · Season 2026, Episode 177 (production episode #16042) · 2 p.m. ET on ABC, next day on Hulu and the ABC app. Fourth hour of a four-episode week — Monday ran as a Labor Day encore — so Friday closes the week out.

Wednesday ended with a gunshot on a mountain. Thursday spent its hour on the paperwork, and that was the harder watch. Anna gave the commissioner's job back to Dante, walked into therapy, and told Felicia the truth she had been dodging since France.

Chase filed the report that names his own wife. Josslyn sat in a boathouse holding a decision that belongs to the World Security Bureau. Nobody got arrested; almost everybody got worse off. Thursday's spoilers called most of this before air, with one wrinkle below.

Previously on General Hospital

Anna fired at a hallucination of Peter on Mount Emerson with Britt and Jason standing there, and admitted the visions began at the French clinic. Jason took the gun; Britt walked down intact and furious. Wednesday's recap has the sequence, and Tuesday's covers Brook Lynn admitting she was the second driver.

Who is running the PCPD now?

Dante. Anna handed him the commissioner's chair and stepped back for treatment, and he told the station he is filling in.

The recaps split on how it happened — Digest and Soaps.com put the two of them face to face, with Soaps.com describing her surrendering gun and badge, while Celeb Dirty Laundry has her phoning the station. Same outcome, different room.

She also told him to do his duty if Britt files. Not the line of someone planning to fight this.

Did Anna admit what happened on the mountain?

Yes, twice over. She entered therapy voluntarily, then apologized to Felicia for the two things she had been hiding: leaving the French clinic early, and Peter appearing to her.

First time this arc has had Anna say it plainly to a friend rather than to someone holding a gun or a grudge.

Thursday's hour, in the order the scenes played.

Is Britt going to press charges?

She is acting like it. At the hospital Britt refused every version of "give Anna some grace," including Emma's, and Felicia stepped between them before it turned into something.

Then she watched Anna through the hub and made the promise the hour hangs on: Anna pays. She took the same argument to Jason, who wants Anna in treatment rather than a cell.

👉 Three separate recaps end Britt's scenes on a threat, not a decision. She has not filed anything yet.

What did Chase put in the Ashford report?

He closed the case, and the driver he named is his wife. Chase told Joe Fitzpatrick the Ashford investigation was finished, with Brook Lynn identified as the car that left.

Digest's recap adds the part that stings — Chase spent the night at the Metro Court and said out loud he is not sure the marriage survives, with Ned turning up to demand he try. One recap has that, so read it as one recap's account.

How much trouble is Brook Lynn actually in?

Less than she fears, or much more, depending on which desk you read. Tracy and Ned brought in Alexis, and acting D.A. Justine spelled out that the silence is the exposure, not the collision.

Digest frames the guard-rail impact as a fine. Soaps.com writes it up as possible jail time for failing to report. Those are two very different Fridays, and the show has not settled it.

Celeb Dirty Laundry has Tracy putting it in the only currency Brook Lynn hears: what a conviction could cost her with Phoebe. Her answer was an apology tour. Tracy, meanwhile, hired Alexis a second time — for the divorce.

Why is Anna's fate Josslyn's call?

Because Josslyn is the one with a bureau to report it to. Jason confirmed Britt's account at the boathouse, then refused to make the choice for her.

She also revealed she had lied to the WSB once already, as part of a deal the recaps describe differently — so we will leave the specifics until the show restates them. Jason's advice was to stay on her guard with the bureau, which lands oddly from the man asking her to stay quiet. She had not decided when the hour ended.

Where the week actually went

Tue, Sept 8Visions worseningAdmits she was the second driver
Wed, Sept 9Fires at Peter on the mountainBritt walks out on her
Thu, Sept 10Gives up the badge, enters therapyNamed in Chase's report, lawyers up

Three days, two women, same shape: confession first, consequence a day later.

What was the biggest moment?

Brook Lynn knocking on Trina's door. Digest and Soaps.com both cut the hour right there, on the knock. Celeb Dirty Laundry carries it further: Trina lets her in, reluctantly, and Brook Lynn's pitch is that Trina should not give up the music over this.

Gio had come to her with a version of the same question earlier, per Digest — whether she holds his mother's choices against him. Thursday kept putting the Quartermaines on Trina's doorstep, literally.

What does Thursday set up for Friday?

Two outlets ran Friday, and they agree on the Quartermaine half: Soap Opera Digest has Tracy going behind Brook Lynn's back and Jason butting heads with someone he loves, while Daytime Soap Stop has Brook Lynn taking blunt advice about the marriage.

Tracy is the one who told her to stay quiet, so "behind her back" could cut either way. Friday's preview and recap land on the show hub, and the week-ahead rundown has what is still outstanding.
