Why is General Hospital not new on Monday, September 7?
ABC is running an encore for the holiday. The replay is the February 20 episode — the special hour in which Port Charles gathered to remember Luke Spencer, made after Anthony Geary's death.
Soaps.com, Soap Opera Digest and Soap Hub all list the same swap, and TVmaze has no new General Hospital episode on its Monday schedule either. New episodes start again Tuesday, September 8.
Worth knowing if you watch more than one soap: CBS is not doing this. Both The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful air new episodes on Labor Day, which makes GH the odd one out in the daytime block that afternoon.

Three Friday threads carry straight into Tuesday. Trina asked Brook Lynn, in front of Jordan, whether she was the driver who left Curtis and Jordan on Route 91. Anna lured Britt to Mount Emerson with a story about Cassius and then took out a gun. Sonny signed the paperwork that ends his business partnership with Jason.
Two quieter ones are still open. Isaiah pulled a Lone Star tick off Ava's head and said he had to report it, and the Quartermaine dog started digging at the exact patch of preserve where Jack Brennan is buried.
