Agent Baines told Dante the bureau was handling Jack's disappearance and wanted the PCPD to stay out. Joe pushed back as soon as Baines left. He wanted an independent case, and Dante opened the file anyway. Asked what he had, Joe said one name: Ava Jerome.
Ava saw it coming. She asked Lucas to help smooth things over with Joe, and Lucas agreed to try. It backfired. Lucas defended her to Joe, and Joe took the defense as a red flag. He confirmed the investigation is on, since Ava was the last person seen with Jack.

In a hospital hallway, Baines told Ava the WSB might want to question her about the night Jack vanished. Portia stepped in and said that kind of questioning belongs elsewhere. Will Portia help Curtis with Drew involved?
She will, with strings. Drew told Portia he wanted to help with Curtis's appeal and had lined up supportive press through Kevin Buchanan. She didn't trust him and reminded him how he treated her. Drew said he was only trying to make amends.
Later she told Curtis she couldn't believe he was taking Drew's help, but she'd set her feelings aside. Her condition: Curtis stays out of her relationship with Isaiah and lets Isaiah be part of their son's life. Curtis agreed.
What did Gio ask Curtis and Dante?
Gio visited Curtis and asked whether Sonny could have been framed. Curtis held his ground and agreed not to tell Trina about the visit. Gio then told Dante he'd moved out of Sonny's place. Dante said he was proud of him for facing hard truths, and Gio wondered whether the accepted truth might be wrong.
Dante didn't argue on the spot. He privately feared Gio's heart would break once he learned he was wrong about his grandfather.
How did Scout's night end?
