General Hospital Recap Wednesday, October 28, 2026: Ava Hires Alexis, Deception Joins ELQ

Short version: Ava walked into Alexis's office and asked for a lawyer, then admitted she had a drink with Jack Brennan the night he vanished. Why did Ava hire Alexis on General Hospital?
Because the PCPD and the WSB both see her as part of Jack Brennan's disappearance. Ava cornered Alexis at her office and demanded representation. Alexis pushed her toward other lawyers, but Ava wouldn't take no.
Alexis gave in and took her on. Ava admitted she had a drink with Jack the night he went missing.
Per Soap Opera News, she then said Drew gave her pills to put in Jack's drink and asked for a deal in which she's cleared and Drew takes the fall.
Alexis asked why she teamed up with Drew at all. Ava's answer was Sonny: she needed an ally against him and ran out of options.

How did Deception end up under ELQ?
Brook Lynn told Tracy she's done mourning her marriage and wants to focus on rebuilding her own life. She also owned up to handing Lucy a share of Deception stock, which she called a mistake.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Serena showed off new packaging. Then Tracy turned the meeting to bringing Deception into ELQ. Lucy objected to the move.
Brook Lynn reminded Lucy of her own attempt to get Jason to sign over Maxie's proxy.
A vote was called and the majority went Tracy's way.
What did Carly and Valentin work out about Jack?
They talked through Ava being the last person seen with Jack. Valentin said that if the PCPD closes in on Lulu, they'll have to move fast. Carly didn't want him incriminating himself, but she agreed they must learn what happened before the WSB does.
The Metro Court security cameras went down that same night, and Valentin said that points toward Jack being dead. If Ava did it, she needed help. Carly suspected an accomplice and then realized Jack's body may have been moved in a laundry cart.
What did Baines tell Nina?
Nina demanded an explanation for what he said the night before, and Baines opened with a real breakfast as a peace offering. He told her new information about Jack's disappearance had surfaced and she'd be held near Port Charles for now.
Nina said she'd never want Jack dead and admitted she fears he is. Baines told her he believes she is innocent.
What happened with Chase, Dante and Willow?
Britt overheard Chase telling Dante about the quickie divorce from Brook Lynn. Chase said he knew it was over once her family got Lulu to write the Willow article. Dante said Lulu wouldn't print what she couldn't back up, and Chase argued Sidwell has every reason to lie. Dante left it at "the jury is still out."
At the gatehouse, Lucy pitched Willow a new house across town, and Willow said no. Britt then told Willow that Chase is single. Willow wanted to call him, and Britt talked her out of it. Britt added she'd met someone herself.
The hour ended with a knock. Brook Lynn opened the mansion door to Jude, who said he was there to see his daughter.
